After some review, I have changed some of the photos on my second edition front cover to help make it look less like it was all taken in one shoot and add some more variety of images and outfits.
For my final chosen front covers- i was advised to add some colour and include the front cover models names to imply Dyers Star Theory.
However, i need to arrange the cover lines in a different layout for the first cover as i feel it seems a bit cramped
I also dont know if i want to have the same colour as a reoccuring theme or have a different, striking colour per cover.
Here, I developed the contents pages.
I incorporated interactive elements such as a functional QR code that links directly to the website's newsletter sign up. This not only encourages reader engagement but also demonstrated media convergence within my product.
I also included references to future editions to help build anticipation and create a more dynamic, evolving brand.
Furthermore I have a intertextual references of :the Beetles famous Abbey Road image and Frank Ocean's Blond album
I organised the contents into clear topic sections to make the pages easy to navigate, mirroring conventions by Conde Nast magazines. Because this is only the second edition of my magazine, i drew images and themes from both issues to create cohesion and a sense of continuity across the brand.
Throughout the design process, I aimed to keep the layout clean and minimal while still reflecting THREAD's identity.
My goal was to balance readability with visual impact, staying true to the aesthetic established in my covers and website.
For the second issue of my magazine, it is a different vibe shoot. While the main website and male streetwear issue uses gritty, urban imagery, this alternate cover presents a clean, minimalist fashion editorial for a different demographic. This consistent masthead, typography and tagline maintain brand continuity while targeting a secondary audience.
Here I added a small article on the process of the shoot about the process etc.
I also added a button at the bottom linking the article back to the lookbook so you can remind yourself of the outfits spoken about
I have created a 'street style spotlight' section in which each week there will be a new outfit that it shown and there are details as to where to get everything
This is how the page initially looks ^Then, once you click on each item it will bring you to a pop up like so:
I am planning to add some more clips of like behind the scenes, like “were here at the next location” vibe
